1958 - 1973: Gazal Clothing Company Pty Limited was founded by Joe Gazal in 1959. The Company recorded strong sales and profit growth year on year during this period.

1973 - 1983: Gazal Industries Limited was floated on the Australian Stock Exchange. The business operated as a public company, with increased capital for growth by acquisition.

1983 - 1987: Gazal Industries Pty Limited. The Gazal family made a successful bid to minority shareholders. The company was once again, family owned and operated.

1987 - 1989: The Company was once again floated and changed its name to Gazal Corporation Limited. Joe Gazal passed away in 1989 and eldest son Michael Gazal was appointed Managing Director.

1989 - Today: The Company made strategic business decisions to rationalise its domestic manufacturing operations and focus on a multi-branded strategy, built around international production.




Today


Gazal is now one of the largest publicly listed branded apparel companies in Australia, with more than 50 years of success.

Based in Sydney and listed on the Australian Stock Exchange, the company has a multi-branded strategy that specialises in developing and growing national and international brands in the apparel and fashion accessories industry.

Employing over 720 people nationwide and with annual sales revenues of $265+ million, Gazal is one of Asia Pacific's leading apparel suppliers of casual wear, men's business shirts, intimate apparel, work wear, school and corporate wear.
